cGrate Zambia is a subsidiary of cGrate International. Established in 2009, cGrate Zambia’s mission is to provide convenience by processing payments that connect consumers, merchants and issuers. cGrate has traditionally focused on the high-volume distribution and sale of electronic vouchers (airtime, electricity, water and other utility payments) and provision of mobile banking services.

The company has evolved over the last years to service the growing demand by financial institutions and mobile money operators to digitize their operations by providing points of presence for merchant payments, cash withdrawals, cash deposits, and online payments.

Our role in the market is to bring all issuers into one platform for merchants to serve consumers from the multiple issuers.

Our Flagship Product

543 Konse Konse is cGrate’s flagship product. The product name is derived from the products short code; 543 whilst the “Konse Konse” implies the product is available everywhere.

543 Konse Konse is an electronic voucher distribution solution that allows merchants, customers and dealers to purchase electronic vouchers through a wide range of distribution channels. The distribution channels include but are not restricted to Point of Sale (POS) terminals, ATMs, Mobile (USSD), WEB and Web-services.

cGrate has electronic voucher distribution relationships with Airtel, MTN, Zamtel, Vodafone, Multichoice, Madison Life, Liquid Telecom, Zesco, Afribus and is currently working on adding more service providers.

In addition, cGrate has integrated into all three MNOs for USSD and SMS Aggregation and Electronic Voucher distribution.

With over 9000 merchants in Zambia the company is posed for future growth in the coming years.
